The prize money of MOC 2011 will be 3.200 euro for the best top runners (classes W21 and M21).

It is a pleasure every time I visit Castelvetrano to dream in the Archaeological park of Selinunte. It’s one of the largest archaeological parks in Europe and it is divided into three areas: the Acropolis, the hills with Eastern Temples and the Sanctuary of Demetra Malophoros. Selinunte looking over the Mediterranean Sea.

Nice weather and warm temperature (average + 14 degrees Celsius these days in the beginning of January). Early in the morning I met the fisherman with swordfish!

Event office will be located in Hotel Alceste, Selinunte – see http://www.hotelalceste.it/en/breakfast.html, and all the recommended accommodations are very close to the event office (maximum 400 metres).

Finish area of the third and final stage in Selinunte is on the beach! We have already fixed the arena with nice music and wine tasting as refreshment point!

Finally we have fixed the MOC party on Sunday evening 27th March in the dancing room of Hotel Admeto with local band – “folklore siciliano” and Nick Manfredi.

MOC 2011.

Happy new year!
Gabriele Viale
