Kristiansand vs. Pan Kristianstad at Spring Cup

- On the men's side, an interesting showdown is expected between last year's winner of 10Mila, Kristiansand OK, and this year's serious challenger, Pan Kristianstad, tells Mette Rønning Steffensen, event director of Spring Cup next weekend.

16 nations and a number of world champions at Spring Cup
Both senior and junior world champions will be at start next week and Spring Cup 2009 is therefore one of the strongest fields on Danish ground during the past years.

The past week I have tried some of the courses that you will meet. There is no snow left and the spring is arriving at full speed with bird's singing and the most beautiful sunshine one can imagine, inform event director Mette Rønning Steffensen.

The participants can expect orienteering at high speed. The course planners predict that the fastest runners complete the course by approx. 4,4 min/km! It will be exciting to see who keeps the speed and concentration the best to the end.

Especially the organizers are looking forward to introduce the Night Relay on Friday evening. 60 teams in the Men's Open and 10 in the Women's Open will be competing in the dark in the little forest of Valby Hegn. Rønning Steffensen promise stressful moments during the course.

- On the men's side, an interesting showdown is expected between last year's winner of 10mila, Norwegian Kristiansand OK, and this year's serious challenger, Pan Kristianstad from Sweden, tells the event director.

Both team arrive in their strongest position. The Kristiansand team consists, among others, of last year's World Cup winner and middle distance world champion Daniel Hubmann from Switzerland, British Jon Duncan (relay world champion 2008) and Norwegian Holger Hott (middle distance world champion in Denmark 2006).

- Also the two Danish national team members Rasmus Djuurhus and Christian Bobach run for Kristiansand OK. They are, among others, facing Pan Kristianstad with runners like British Jamie Stevenson (also world champion 2008) as well as a number of Danish top orienteers like the national team members Rasmus Søes and Rune Olsen, inform Mette Rønning Evensen finally.
